Our Ray and Stephanie Lane Computational Biology Department is the world’s premier academic department focusing on rigorous computer science applications to biomedical problems. Our guiding vision is to accelerate biomedical research progress by developing and using methods for integrated modeling of biological systems to drive biomedical experimentation.

Donations to the annual fund help cover equipment and supplies for undergraduate courses, fill gaps in student and fellowship support, provide seed funds for new initiatives, and meet other departmental needs.

 In addition to our outstanding research programs, we are very committed to providing educational opportunities in this critical field in which demand for well-trained students is far exceeding supply.
