Congratulations to Dr. Darya Filippova, who successfully defended her doctoral thesis, “Algorithms for identification, visualization, and compression of prominent substructures in biological data.” Darya will work as a postdoc wrapping up some projects for her thesis advisor, Dr. Carl Kingsford. She’ll move to California in September 2015, where she has accepted a position as Principal Scientist at Roche Sequencing Unit.
