Russell Schwartz Elected Vice President of ISCB

Dr. Russell Schwartz, Professor and Department Head for the Computational Biology Department, has recently been elected as Vice President of the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB), the leading professional society for computational biology and bioinformatics.  Russell has long been active in the ISCB, particularly with its Education Community of Special Interest (COSI) and through roles in organization and program committees for various ISCB-affiliated conferences.  He has served on the ISCB Board of Directors since 2017. 

His term as Vice President will officially begin in January 2023.
