Chan Zuckerburg Initiative Grant Awarded to Jian Ma and Collaborator

Jian Ma, the Ray and Stephanie Lane Professor of Computational Biology in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, has been awarded a grant, in collaboration with Su-In Lee from the University of Washington, from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative’s (CZI) Data Insights program

These CZI grants are awarded to support researchers who aim to derive greater insights into health and disease from single-cell biology datasets by improving computational tools and resources. The joint project between Lee and Ma will focus on developing explainable machine learning methods for single-cell regulatory genomics.
