Jian Ma, the Ray and Stephanie Lane Professor of Computational Biology, has joined the Scientific Advisory Board of the Chan Zuckerberg (CZ) Biohub Chicago.
CZ Biohub Chicago focuses on engineering technologies to make precise, molecular-level measurements of biological processes within human tissues to understand and treat the inflammatory states that underlie many diseases.
The CZ Biohub Network includes locations in San Francisco, New York and Chicago. The network, created and supported by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI), is a group of nonprofit research institutes bringing together physicians, scientists and engineers to pursue grand scientific challenges on 10- to 15-year time horizons. The CZ Biohub Network and CZI partner to understand the mysteries of the cell toward a joint mission to cure, prevent or manage all diseases by the end of the century.
